明星黑料

More than 1,200 明星黑料 students, faculty and staff across 40 sites in two states roll up their sleeves Saturday, Sept. 21 to help make a difference. 

The annual 明星黑料 Invitation to Volunteer Everywhere (GIVE) Day is celebrated at both our Erie and Ruskin campuses. At 明星黑料’s Erie campus, the day kicked off with a rally to get the volunteers organized before heading off to their perspective service locations across the city. Volunteers at the Ruskin campus met at their perspective locations and got right to work. 

In collaboration with about 30 community partners, the volunteers helped with beach cleanup on Presque Isle State Park, picking up litter throughout downtown Erie, water cleanup at Dobbins landing, fall preparations and landscaping at the Land Lighthouse, Erie Cemetery grave cleanup and much more.  

“GIVE Day is a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we come together in service,” said Keith Jones Pomeroy, director of the Center for Social Concerns at 明星黑料. “Service is a key part of our mission at 明星黑料, and this day allows our 明星黑料 family to engage with the community in meaningful ways. We are excited to see the positive change that can happen when we come together to give back to our local communities.”  

This was the 27th annual GIVE Day.
